Βρέθηκε φίδι τεραστίων διαστάσεων: αλήθεια ή ψέμματα;

Το φίδι, που ξεπερνάει τα 16 μέτρα σε μήκος, ζυγίζει περισσότερο από 300 κιλά και εκτιμάται ότι έχει ηλικία 140 ετών(!), "πιάστηκε" κοντά στην πόλη Guping, στην περιοχή Jiangxi της Κίνας, από εργάτες που καθάριζαν το δάσος για να ανοίξουν νέο δρόμο.
Μάλιστα, οι αυτόπτες μάρτυρες κάνουν λόγο και για ένα δεύτερο (ανάλογου μεγέθους) φίδι που βρισκόταν μαζί με το παραπάνω, το οποίο όμως κατάφερε να διαφύγει.

Άγνωστο πλάσμα βρέθηκε στον Παναμά

Η παραπάνω απορία γεννήθηκε μετά την ανακάλυψη ενός παράξενου πλάσματος στο Cerro Azul του Παναμά.
Δύο νεαροί είδαν στην είσοδο μίας σπηλιάς το άγνωστο αυτό πλάσμα, το οποίο τους πλησίασε και οι πρώτοι αφού φοβήθηκαν, το σκότωσαν.
Το Κανάλι 13 της χώρας δημοσίευσε φωτογραφίες του παράξενου αυτού πλάσματος το οποίο έχει προκαλέσει τον ενθουσιασμό, το ενδιαφέρον και την ανησυχία στους κατοίκους.
Νεότερα σχετικά με την προέλευση και την ταυτότητα του πλάσματος, ελπίζω σύντομα, να μπορέσω να βρω και να δημοισεύσω εδώ στο Para-Info.

Παράξενα ζώα από ολόκληρο τον κόσμο

Η Telegraph μας παρουσιάζει ακόμα ένα ενδιαφέρον άρθρο με παράξενα ζώα που έχουν βρεθεί κατά καιρούς σε ολόκληρο τον κόσμο: χελώνα με δύο κεφάλια, κατσίκα με έξι πόδια, χοίροι με δύο κεφάλια, και πολλά άλλα, ζώα που έχουν γεννηθεί και αποκτήσει κάποια γενετική ανωμαλία.
Οι φωτογραφίες που θα δείτε είναι άκρως εντυπωσιακές, ταυτόχρονα όμως, προκαλούν αρνητικό θαυμασμό και μία μελαγχολία...

Φίδι με ... πόδι!
Το παραπάνω φίδι που βλέπετε στην φωτογραφία βρέθηκε στην Κίνα και, όπως διακρίνετε, υπάρχει ενσωματωμένο πάνω του ένα ... πόδι! Ναι, καλά βλέπετε!
Το φίδι βρέθηκε από τον 66χρονο Dean Qiongxiu στο σπίτι του σε περιοχή της νοτιοδυτικής Κίνας. Φοβήθηκε τόσο πολύ που το χτύπησε, το σκότωσε και το έβαλε στη συνέχεια μέσα σε ένα μπουκάλι.
Το περίεργο αυτό φίδι έχει μήκος 40 εκατοστά περίπου και, όπως ήταν αναμενόμενο, άρχισε να απασχολεί την παγκόσμια επιστημονική κοινότητα. Μελετάται στο Κέντρο Επιστημών του Πανεπιστημίου του Nanchang στη νοτιοδυτική Κίνα.
Μέχρι στιγμής, πάντως, οι επιστήμονες που εξετάζουν και μελετούν το ερπετό αυτό δεν έχουν καταλήξει σε κάποιο ασφαλές συμπέρασμα...

UFO ή ... ιπτάμενος δεινόσαυρος;!

Το αντικείμενο φωτογραφήθηκε από το κινητό κ. Pino, έναν 44χρονο ψαρά που επισκέπτεται συχνά τη λίμνη.
Κανείς δεν μπόρεσε με σιγουριά να προσδιορίσει τί μπορεί να ήταν αυτό που φωτογράφησε ο κ. Pino με το κινητό του τηλέφωνο.
Το μόνο σίγουρο, όμως, είναι ότι προκλήθει "αναβρασμός" σε κύκλους ερευνητών UFO και κρυπτοζωολογίας της περιοχής...

Το τέρας του Λοχ Νες στο Google Earth;

Σύμφωνα με τον ίδιο, φαίνεται ξεκάθαρα στη φωτογραφία ότι ένα μεγάλο πράγμα διακρίνεται στα νερά της λίμνης και αποκλείει το γεγονός να είναι κάτι που μπορεί να εξηγηθεί τόσο απλά.
Από ό,τι φαίνεται η αγαπημένη μας "Νέσι" θα συνεχίσει να προκαλεί το ενδιαφέρον των ερευνητών και όσο κανείς δεν φέρνει στην επιφάνεια συγκεκριμένα στοιχεία και αποδείξεις, τόσο η φαντασία και οι θεωρίες γύρω από το θρυλικό αυτό τέρας θα οργιάζουν...

Μυστήρια επίθεση εναντίον ζώων

Τα χωριά στη Ναμίμπια (Νότιος Αφρική) βρίσκονται σε κατάσταση συναγερμού εξαιτίας ενός περίεργου φαινομένου που αντιμετωπίζουν τα ζώα της περιοχής.
Παραπάνω από 20-25 ζώα θανατώθηκαν με πολύ άσχημο τρόπο από κάτι ... άγνωστο (;) .
Τα σώματά τους καταστράφηκαν σχεδόν ολοσχερώς, ενώ ο τόπος γύρω τους γέμισε με αίμα και υπολλείμματα των εσωτερικών οργάνων τους.
Οι κάτοικοι των χωριών αποδίδουν το γεγονός αυτό σε μαγεία, ενώ κάποιοι άλλοι πιστεύουν ότι μπορεί να ευθύνεται το γνωστό κακόφημο Chupacabra.
Το σίγουρο είναι ότι οι ντόπιοι βρίσκονται πλέον σε επιφυλακή και ζούνε με τον φόβο μιας νέας ανεξήγητης επίθεσης...

Η Νέσι της ... Κίνας

Μερικοί τουρίστες στην Κίνα ανέφεραν ότι είδαν με τα ίδια τους τα μάτια ένα τέρας στη λίμνη Kanas.
Όλες οι μαρτυρίες αναφερόντουσαν σε ένα μεγάλο και μαύρο -άγνωστης ταυτότητας- πλάσμα που κολυμπούσε μέσα και έξω (μέχρι μερικά μέτρα) από το νερό.
Αμέσως η υπόθεση τράβηξε τα βλέμματα των ενδιαφερόμενων και ήδη έχουν αρχίσει έρευνες για τον εντοπισμό της ... Nessie της Κίνας!

LISBURN MEN FIND GIANT SNAKE IN THE AMAZON

IT SOUNDS like an Indiana Jones adventure. After 23 years of research including the detailed study of ancient art, cultures spanning 3000 years and three continents to the latest in satellite imaging technology, a father and son make an extraordinary trip deep into the heart of the Peruvian Amazon to confirm their theories that this is where a giant anaconda with a difference lives.
But that's precisely what Lisburn man Mike Warner (73) and his son Greg (44) have done, seeking evidence that this was the home of the Yacumama and actually capturing a picture of the creature. A leviathan of the jungle, which reports say reaches 40 metres in length and two metres in diameter, it dwarfs any snake known to science.
This anaconda is not green but dark brown and is known by the locals as the 'black boa' or 'Yacumama'.
"Yacumama is translated as Mother of the Water and reports of this giant snake abound throughout the Amazon basin and history."
Mike, who is partially sighted, has spent 23 years researching the beast but it was only six months ago when his son discovered his research documents and they decided to take part in the incredble journey.
Cryptozooologist Mike of Hillhall spent his life savings setting up the expedition with Greg to find out more about the snake, which reports say can engorge water then shoot a monkey out of a tree like a water canon.
The team spent 12 days in March using the latest satellite equipment to take images of the huge reptile and were able to officially announce the discovery on May 2.
The explorers were dogged by hazardous weather conditions in the middle of the rainy season but eventually managed to take off by hydroplane from the Amazon River on day five of the expedition.
"Despite being buffeted by a freak storm we managed several flyovers at an average altitude of 400 feet recording video footage from two cameras at either side to the rear of the aircraft and Greg, located in the front with the pilot, taking around 300 still photographs" said Mike who had his 73rd birthday while in Peru.
After an exhausting 12 days in the jungle and a 30 hour trip back home the father and son team were finally able to examine their photo evidence in more detail, over 700 photos and five hours of video
"The data is immense and will take months to fully appreciate but already it supports our theories of 'channels' created by these giants as they make their way through the dense jungle knocking down trees 90 feet tall, but more importantly we managed to catch one of these reclusive giants on camera as it made its way through one of its watery channels."
It was Colonel Percy Fawcett, who was commissioned by the Royal Geographical Society of London in 1906 to map an area of the Peruvian Amazon in a dispute over rubber production who, after an encounter with a giant anaconda, first documented large 'trails 6 feet wide' or what are now called 'channels'.
And according to Greg it was the link made between his account and the evidence of large irregular 'channels' at the site they visited that led to the discovery.
They have now shared their findings with the Peruvian government, the National Geographic Society in Washington and Queens University in Belfast.
The team will now spend months analysing the footage and plan to return to same location in October to get thermal imagery which will help find the numbers of anacondas. This time they hope to bring with them a television crew.
Greg concluded: "The real hero is my father. It must be incredible to have spent 23 years researching this and then to succeed in an expedition where others had failed."
There was an amazing postscript to their trip when an anaconda, believed to be the one they located in March, is thought to have been responsbile for smashing the house of an elderly couple in a small village in Peru earlier this week.

Nessie caught on sonar?

CELEBRITY stage stars of the classic TV sitcom 'Allo 'Allo are at the centre of a Nessie mystery.
And a leading Loch Ness expert is baffled by one of the most unusual sonar readings recorded on Loch Ness while the cast was on a pleasure cruise.
Sonar pictures taken on the voyage revealed five unexplained images which have lead to monster speculation.
The mysterious images – which appear to be 200ft apart – have now been sent for scientific analysis.
The riddle began on Thursday morning when the cast of the stage adaptation of 'Allo 'Allo – including stars Jeffrey Holland and original TV series sexy favourite Vicki Michelle – were on board the Jacobite Queen taking the opportunity to visit the world famous loch whilst they were in the Highland capital for a week-long run at Eden Court Theatre.
The sonar reading, which illustrates five individual characters, was recorded at precisely 11.20am between Dores village and Urquhart Castle.
According to Jacobite Queen captain John Askew, it was the first time in his 15 years working on the loch that he successfully picked up images of this kind on any of the Jacobite fleet's sonar screens.
The Loch Ness Project's Adrian Shine, an expert in sonar who has been studying the loch since 1973, could not explain the sighting.
He said: "This has got me puzzled and has every appearance of a genuine sonar contact. A single object often appears again, as an echo.
"I would like to see the boat go back to this spot and see if the same thing could be produced again.
"This certainly adds to the Loch Ness mystery and will be the subject of further investigation.
"I don't understand five separate images on a sonar reading. It could possibly be a string of targets anchored to the bed of the loch, but that is again not likely, as the targets are 200ft apart exactly, which is why I would like to see the boat go back to that spot. There will be an explanation for this, but at the moment I just don't have one."
TV star Vicki Michelle was shocked at what she saw.
She explained: "I went down to the boat's cabin and caught an arch shape on the monitor, followed by two more. The whole cast had been hoping to see something on the trip and, if it was Nessie, that positive energy probably brought her out. Or perhaps she's just a fan of the show!"
She added: "In all seriousness, whether it was Nessie or not, we all definitely saw something on that monitor."
Jeffrey Holland said: "We're all very intrigued by the sonar image and keenly awaiting the results of the analysis."
* Recorded sightings of the Loch Ness Monster go back nearly 1,500 years dating to AD565, although many photographs of the legendary Nessie taken in the past century have proved to be either hoaxes or simply optical illusions.

Another Winged Cat!

BEIJING – It has been revealed that a cat in China has developed wings on its back!
The white cat was born normal, but as it matured, grew furry wing-link appendages on either side of its back.
Scientists are not sure how the “wings” occurred. There are two possible explanations: chemicals caused a genetic mutation during pregnancy, or the cat developed from two different embryos.
This is not the first time a cat has grown wings. There are over thirty scientifically documented cases in recorded history. Another cat was found in China just two years ago. Are these cases related to China’s ongoing pollution problem?
The cat certainly doesn’t seem to mind!

Researchers to hunt Bigfoot

Some 25 to 30 researchers will be braving the southeastern Oklahoma woods this weekend in search of the reclusive Bigfoot.
The Kiamichi Mountains provide the apelike creature a habitat that's rich with deer, berries, honeysuckle and plenty of woodsy cover, believers say.
"You could hide an army in there and never know it," said D.W. Lee of Stilwell, global director of the Mid-America Bigfoot Research Center.
In October in Honobia, the researchers saw "eye shine" from a creature standing about 8 feet tall, he said.
"They would get close enough that the campfire would shine in their eyes and it would show green," Lee said.
Like ghost hunters, the Bigfoot researchers will be equipped with night-vision goggles and scopes, along with an array of audio and video equipment. They will record hours of footage from the trail for viewing after their trip.
Lee said the creatures typically throw rocks at them when they're sitting around a campfire.
"If they wanted to hit you, they would," he said. "It's like they just want to see how you'll react. Other times you may get in areas where you're not welcome. If you're close to the little ones — the young Bigfoot — they're going to make sure you leave."
The only time Lee said he became fearful in the woods was during a trip to the Chelsea area in northeastern Oklahoma.
"I saw three groups of Bigfoot going across a field in front of me," he said.
About a year ago
in the Chelsea area, the researchers poured a cast of a footprint, 15 inches long and 5 inches wide, that they believe was made by a Bigfoot.
They've photographed other footprints along logging roads in the Kiamichi Mountains of southeastern Oklahoma.
Mountain-area natives and Sasquatch-track followers are familiar with what they say are the creature's distinctive screams and whoops.
Lee said Bigfoot is intelligent and can mimic the sounds of other animals.
"We do hear a lot of owl calls, but you can tell it's not an owl because it's like an 800-pound owl hooting at you," he said.
About five years ago, Lee's group received a report from a man hunting deer in a tree stand in the Kiamichi Mountains. It seems that his pager went off, and after he turned it off, he heard something in the woods mimicking its beep-beep sounds.
"When he turned around, he saw Bigfoot standing there," Lee said. "His words were that it was a 'big something' that he just didn't want no part of."
Perhaps Jane Goodall gives skeptics some pause.
In a 2002 interview with National Public Radio, the primatologist said she believes that the creature could exist. She said she based that assessment on descriptions given to her by American Indians, who reported two sightings and described sounds they'd heard.
Some people have dismissed Bigfoot sightings in Oklahoma as actually black bear sightings. But unlike bears, Lee said, a Bigfoot walks upright exclusively and — at 7 to 8 feet tall — is much taller than a black bear.
"We're not just a bunch of country hicks," said Lee, a network administrator.
Hundreds of people attend the Honobia Bigfoot Festival and Conference each year. This year it will be held Oct. 2-3 and sponsored by the Talihina Chamber of Commerce.
